Chris Bosh Ruled Out Indefinitely With Abdominal Strain


Ruh-roh … Chris Bosh’s lower abdominal strain will have the Miami Heat forward sidelined for a yet-to-be-determined amount of time. The team announced today. Per the Sun-Sentinel: “It is feared that the injury may force Bosh to miss the rest of the series against the Indiana Pacers — and perhaps for the rest of the postseason. The Heat are expected to talk more about Bosh’s injury around 1:30 after the team’s practice.”

    He’s no Lebron or Wade, but he’s in my opinion the biggest piece of the puzzle. You know what you’re going to get night in and night out from Lebron and Wade, but Bosh was the X factor on this team. When he plays well, the Heat steamroll teams. This will definitely hurt Miami (no pun intended)

    Not a big fan of the Heat but this sucks. Don’t like seeing guys getting injured. Man, Stern is crippling a whole lot of guys with his crazy schedule. SMH.

    This will definitely push the Heat to be more uptempo. Bosh was one of the only guys that could play in the half court set. Knocking down the little mid range jumper at a decent percentage. Hope he returns sooner than later.

    damn damn. Just commented on the other one but just now see that he is out for the whole playoffs. Like kholiday said bosh is the x factor. Hope bron and wade elevate there game to another level. Lets go bezerk mode. Still got some hope.

    I dislike the Heat and the Bulls, but if both teams seasons are cut short by injuries it’d be sad to see. Although I doubt Indy will steal a game either way.

    If he has truly torn a gut muscle, there is no way he’s coming back full strength for the rest of the playoffs. He runs the risk of reinjuring that muscle for at least 6 weeks.

    Good news everyone with Bosh out of the way, El Heat has finally a shot to be champ! No more poor defense and turrible rebounding or long range brick time. Bosh don’t worry take your time to come back, you will not be missed.

    Can’t see the Heat beating Boston without Bosh, let alone San Antonio or OKC. Lebron and Wade can’t do it all and this will be too much to overcome unless Joel Anthony or Udonis Haslem can provide the necessary low post scoring in the half court offense with Bosh gone, which ain’t happening. They’ll beat Indiana in 6 then lose to Boston in 6 if you ask me.

    The X factor now becomes Shane Battier. the Heat front line now includes LeBron at the 4, playing some point forward. Battier comes in to play defensive minutes on George and Granger, meaning Lebron gets Granger/West…and Hansbrough? Ooh. The Pacers are going to get physical without Bosh. Say what you will about his toughness, Bosh provided a big body and good position. I still think Lebron and Wade will put this series off, because they’re…Lebron and Wade. But they’ll get beat up in the process. Battier’s gotta take some of that pressure off with tough D and 3s to keep the Pacer D honest.

    I think Bosh will return before the Eastern Conference Finals if the Heat can get past the Pacers, yes it is a tough and lingering injury but all he will need is to play limited minutes, even if he plays only 20-25 i feel that the Heat can get past either Philly or Boston , anyone agree?

    Somewhere in Miami, Roy Hibbert is smiling and looking forward to not having to chase Bosh around. Hibbert is going to have a large impact now that he can guard Anthony and Haslem in the paint.

    hibbert was 5 feet away from the basket every time Bosh was at the 5. That helps opening up lanes for slashers like Wade and James. that’s y he is so critical to the heat in half court game. hope he comes back before the Finals

    You guys forget something, LBJ did bring the CAVS to the finals alone and last year he wasnt him self he was trying to prove wrong to ppl.Now he is the MVP 28 8 7 2 1 53%.Haslem can hit the mid range not like bosh but he can hit thth mid range shot. HEAT!

    @CHARLIEWINNING Let me clarify… anyone who excels in the game can get win MVP during the season. If you look back at players that have won the MVP, how many took their team to the finals and won the Larry O’Brien Trophy? When I mean earned, LBJ has to take that MVP trophy (he won), put the HEAT on his back (and not choke), and bring the trophy back to Miami. To me, MVPs are crafted in the regular season and made in the playoffs, and polished in the championships.

    ^That’s why we have a regular season MVP and a Finals MVP. I agree that he has to step up more with the loss of Bosh, but what he does or doesn’t accomplish during the post-season doesn’t change what he did during the regular season.
