EJ: Like many people often do, you misused the term irony. It was neither ironic nor hypocritical, since I never told him what he should and shouldn’t get offended by. I told him to go f himself on the basis that he was upset by the anti-white jokes, while mentioning nothing about the n*gger jokes above. He can get as offended as like about the white jokes. @ Dungeon -> you are right, judging an experience without having gone through it is liable to all sorts of pitfalls. Second @ everyone: This REALLY needs to be cleared up once and for all. There is NO SUCH THING AS REVERSE RACISM, BECAUSE IT DOESN’T EXIST. Racism is institutional–it doesn’t matter whether or not you personally hate or love black/brown/whatever people, what matters are the institutions of society (government, education, prisons, etc.) and how race is handled by those institutions.
So when black people stereotype or discriminate against white people, it’s hurtful and insensitive, but it usually ends at that. When white people stereotype or discriminate against black people, you have things like the “War on Drugs” where 70% of all people imprisoned for drug crimes are black, even though blacks only make up 13% of all drug users in the country. You have things like the death penalty, where 42% of the inmates on death row are black; as well, black people make up 50% of all murder victims, yet 80% of the victims in death penalty cases are white, while only 14% are black. It’s crystal clear whose life the law values more…
If you seriously think there’s such thing as “reverse racism,” then you’re essentially saying that a few insensitive remarks = 500+ years of racism, imperialism, and discrimination that continue even today! Think about that logic for a second. I’m not saying it’s right to use racial slurs against white people, but the context is NOT the same whatsoever, especially when using the N word. (personally I also hate the term “N-word,” lol).

Actually, white males between 18-34 have the highest rate of drug use in the nation.
Far higher than black males of the same age.
However, black males are more likely to sell drugs, AND more importantly, more likely to be arrested for narcotics possession and distribution and sentenced to harsher sentences.
This is due to discrimination in the justice system and the focus on policing in black neighborhoods.
All the stats say drug use is more prevalent among white folks, but the police don’t typically focus on catching white offenders. New York’s stop and frisk statistics are a prime example.

I think I’ve just reached my point of trying to reason with certain people. I can have civilized conversations with people, or I can return a racist comment for another. Whichever way the person wants to go is fine with me. And really, I’ve reached my fill of hearing excuse after excuse for why more black people arent successfull. If ANYONE isn’t successful its because they’re a loser. Lazy and a loser. I’m sick of hearing about institutionalized racism and so on and so on. Charlie didn’t expose anyone. I’m not friends with anyone here and couldn’t care less about what anyone thinks. I have respect for hard-working, smart people. Whatever color they are. And I have respect for those people that show respect. Allen, I may not like you, but you’ve always been fairly respectful with me on here so I try and do the same.
