Report: Chris Bosh to Play in Game 3 After Birth of His Baby

After some uncertainty this morning about Chris Bosh’s status for tonight’s Game 3, Turner Sports‘ David Aldridge is reporting that Bosh will indeed suit up for the Miami Heat. Above, as you might’ve guessed, is an image of Chris Bosh holding his newborn child: “Told Chris Bosh will be back in NYC in time for Game 3 tonight. Bosh’s wife, Adrienne, gave birth to the couple’s child this am in Miami.”

More wack dinosaur jokes about a baby that’s just a few hours old.

woow people, give the young’n a chance he is not even a day old yet. congrats to Bosh and his family

  • LA Huey

Congrats to the Bosh family. Gotta be tough for Bosh to get back to work and even tougher for Mrs Bosh.
Y’all need to leave people’s kids alone.

“With the first pick of the 2032 nba draft, the Los Angeles Clippers select…”

Congrats Bosh…not feeling the overall media on this one. There’s a consenus like Bosh SHOULD suit up for gm.3.

I ask you: Why can’t he miss this game?

Because its his firstborn and because the Heat are up 2-0 already and Knicks are without Amare? I’d argue this is like the perfect game for Bosh to miss…..

By all reports, the baby is doing fine. Chris regurgitated some pizza for the baby’s first meal and the kid scarfed it down.

  • 602Shorty

This isn’t his first born but he should be given the night off to chill with his fam. Perspective, people. Let’s keep everything in perspective. Basketball is a huge part of his life, but it isn’t his whole life.

hahaha at bike. i think he has a daughter already.

No problem with him missing this game, or even the next one, because this series is as good as done . . . Had this been a closely contested battle in the finals, I would expect him to play. Even if the baby was on it’s way out during the National Anthem. That’s just me being a selfish sportsfan, though.

  • LA Huey

Just going to copy and paste from the other Bosh baby post.
“I know it’s a life event but pivotal playoff games are tough to excuse a player for missing. I know life happens but NBA players only have about 2 months out of the year we’d consider can’t miss. But I wouldn’t call Game 3 of this series “pivotal” though….”
Meat Hook, I wouldn’t excuse him for 2 straight playoff games.

Why are yall acting like the Heat says he has to play. I’m sure the decision is totally up to him, and Bosh seems like the type of guys that would put his family of the game of basketball if he saw fit. being that they don’t play again until Sunday, I can see him playing tonight, then taking the next two days off to be with his wife and newborn.

  • Ldub

alot of immaturity on these posts. dude just had a kid….i honestly dont get all the jokes.

  • Dungeon Family

I’m all for The Bosh Jokes but Out of respect for The birth of his Child I won’t say anything negative

    Respect to Bosh

  • 602Shorty

An important moment in your personal life>>>>> An important moment in your basketball life. Most people who disagree either aren’t parents or aren’t mature enough to have a real grasp on life.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

LA Huey, I would, especially if Miami took game 3. dfrance21, No one’s acting like Miami is making him do anything, we’re just discussing what would be expected of a high profile athlete if he/she had to choose between a life milestone(i.e. birth of a child/university graduation ceremony) and say game 7 of the finals.
