Chris Bosh Will Miss Olympics to Rehab from Abdominal Muscle Injury

Just like teammate Dwyane Wade, due to health concerns, Chris Bosh has pulled his name out of the mix for the Olympic Games this summer in London. Reports the AP: “Chris Bosh has taken his name out of consideration for the London Olympics, becoming the second Miami Heat player in as many days to make the move over injury concerns. Bosh announced the decision Friday through agent Henry Thomas. Bosh is still recovering after straining an abdominal muscle during the second round of the playoffs. He missed nine games, though did return for the latter part of the Eastern Conference finals against Boston and played in all five games of the NBA Finals against Oklahoma City.”

I guess, Lebron is next to miss the olypmics? Due to Wade and Bosh not being pairing with him. lol This shorten lockout season took a toll on a lot of players. I wouldn’t be surprise if more players decided to drop out.

hope AD makes it now..team usa needs some big men! tyson chandler and that is it! love and most likely blake Gliffin!

yeah, I could tell that abdominal muscle severely affected him during the Celtics series and the FINALS…and the extra 2 weeks off wont help either…but thanks for your services, Chris….

playing through an injury to win an nba championship is alot different than risking further damage for the olympics. basketball players dont define their legacies with their gold medals. i give bosh credit for playing through his strain to win a chip. abdominal injuries are no joke

if though he was raining threes in the ecf and finals his d was non existent. he couldn’t move his legs as usual and couldn’t recover fast enough. the heat need to repeat anyways so take care of yourself cb4

“his D was non-existent”, word? I can’t believe I’m saying this but Bosh’s interior presence on the defensive end played a huge role in MIA winning that series.

maybe AD makes it! i think bosh could play but it is his choice. i am not hating but LO should not make the team! it would be a travesty. i do not like quitters. he quit on the mavs. it was not like he went to the bobcats, nets or wiz. dallas is a playoff team. cubs did everything he could and that wasn’t enough. look be a professional. getting paid over $8 mil…sorry your wife had to film her show in dallas over la..too bad. take melo for example..lala has a show and melo is hardly on there! take a cue. hope coach k picks AD and love or blake and that will be fine. as long as usa has kb and bron they will be fine!

Smart move by Bosh. Sorry but the Olympics is not worth risking further injury.
