Amar’e Stoudemire Says Not Winning a Title Would Be ‘Waste of a Season’

Amar’e Stoudemire has big expectations for his Knicks, and claims that it’s championship or bust for New York. Per Newsday: “Amar’e Stoudemire said the only thing that’s going to cut it next season is a title. ‘Anything less than a championship,’ the power forward said on MSG Thursday during Knicks’ Summer League broadcast from Las Vegas, ‘is a waste of a season.’ Stoudemire, looking leaner, said he’s down to 245 pounds and has been training two times a day since May. He said he’s strong, healthy and ready to go, and is thrilled with the trade for Raymond Felton. The two worked well in their short time together before Felton was dealt to Denver as part of the Carmelo Anthony trade. ‘Awesome, awesome acquisition with Raymond,’ Stoudemire said. ‘He’s a phenomenal player. He’s one of those guys you know is going to bring his ‘A’ game. Hes going to play extremely hard on both ends of the court and hes ready to win.’”

me neither, will be same s***t like the 90s when everyone not caught in the jordan hype (one of the few justified hypes in the nba) was wishing that maybe, could, should, would but in the end the jordan bulls almost allways won it all.

I swear, I can’t tell who’s worse, Knicks fans, Lakers fans, or Bulls fans. It must be wonderful to live in a world with no salary caps, injuries, or player frustration and just enjoy the “seamless blending” of overrated and overlapping talent. The Knicks won’t win 50 games, I’ll call that right now. They’ll win no more than 3 playoff games, I’ll call that too. Quote me. I’ll put my (little) reputation on the line because I simply do not believe in this mismatched Knicks team.

Funny talk. As long as Melo is the core, Knicks would be lucky just to make it to playoff. This team is a mess with the overpaid stars like melo and Amare.

IMO East next year, barring new trades and injuries, but taking into account current injuries:

    1-2 Seed: MIA/BOS
    3-6 Seed: IND/NYK/BKL/ORL
    6-9 Seed: ATL/CHI/PHI
