Brooklyn Nets Reach 3-Year Agreement With Reggie Evans

The Brooklyn Nets’ front-office continues to wheel and deal, agreeing to a 3-year deal (worth $5 million) with free agent big man Reggie Evans. Per Yahoo! Sports: “Evans will join the Nets in a sign-and-trade deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers will receive a future second-round draft pick while the Nets use a $3 million trade exception to acquire Evans. Evans averaged 1.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 13.8 minutes over 56 games for the Clippers last season.”

This is a good pick up though. Definitely worth a second round pick at this value. Reggie Evans is a player that everybody wants on their team.

Honestly GREAT pick up. You just got a guy who is elite at 2 things for 1.7 mill a season. I loved Reggie in Seattle and he is one of those guys who deserves a solid contract, but isn’t always able to get one.

This is shaping up to be a nice core that the fans can really root for. Exactly what a new franchise needs.
Wedgie and Crash are fan favorite high energy guys. Wondering if it’s still possible to sign the Hump.
Let the winning begin. Can’t wait to see Avery Johnson going back to the little general.

clips should’ve kept him…got more heart than blake and dre

LMAO man when Reggie Evans played for my Toronto Raptors he was the problem solver for rebounds. He plays with a huge MOTOR that never seems to burn out! When he was on the Clippers to be honest he was there best rebounded and he also looked like the best 1-on-1 defender when it comes to the post.

    Therefore:

Toronto Raptors & Los Angles Clippers will truly miss this dude. Good pick up for nets but LMAO what if there team just plays bad for the next 5-7 years…..LMAO your team wont be rebuilding it will be going down the drain. Bad trade for all the 1st rounders……SMH

Even though I still see Billy King as a suspect GM who makes questionable decisions, i’m not mad at the moves he’s making to bring a playoff team to my borough that’s thorough. Still a Knicks fan at heart, but will definitely be rooting for the Nets. Honestly though, wouldn’t be surprised if Evans ends up in Orlando should Dwight Howard end up in Brooklyn.

Amazing value for the money. Great move.

  • trueballer4life

thats a steal for 1.7 mil.., miami should of got him,- Evans is a beast on thOSE boards!.. HE plays with a huge heart. nets gotta get D12 NOW!

  • eZ

    cosign trueballer.
Evans is e huge steal for any team, but the heat especially should’ve went after him. They could use some tough Interior defense and rebounding power at that price. And i can’t believe the clips let him go after what he did for them in the playofs, through a SnT no less…
