Michael Beasley, Phoenix Suns Agree to 3-Year $18 Million Deal

Michael Beasley has pledged to sign an $18 million contract over three years with the Phoenix Suns. Per the AZ Republic: “On the night they paved Steve Nash’s path to the Los Angeles Lakers with another sign-and-trade agreement, the Suns followed Tuesday’s offer-sheet commitment from Eric Gordon by agreeing to terms with unrestricted free agent Michael Beasley. This one is a swing for the fences. Beasley pledged to sign a three-year, $18 million contract to join Phoenix when signings begin Wednesday. Beasley is an enigmatic but talented 23-year-old who has shown flashes of being the player who once created a debate of whether he or Derrick Rose should be the top draft pick in 2008. Beasley went second to Miami, where the 19-year-old was not ready for instant riches and responsibility.”

Dragic + Beasley equals just good enough not to get a high draft pick, and just good enough not to make the playoffs. Kudos Robert Sarver & Lon Babby.

Beasley bout to avg 23 and 8… Beasley, Kendell, Dragic and The Polish Hammer is a solid core. Unless Beasley becomes an all-star, no playoffs for this team but they will be competitive. Beasley should shine in that system. 42-40 type team

Beasley signing with the Suns? LOL He probably believes the bright colors on the jerseys mean they’re made out of Skittles; taste the rainbow.
