Lamar Odom Wants to Apologize to Mark Cuban

Lamar Odom and Mark Cuban had their fair share of problems last season, but all’s well that ends well, right? No? Yeah, in this case, probably not. But still, it appears that LO feels some remorse for how 2011-12′s situation in Dallas went down, and according to ESPN’s Ric Bucher, would like to apologize to the Mavs owner for causing some problems:

i wish i could tell my boss: sorry for not showing up for work but still getting paid

  • Kevin

let me paraphrase: “I’m sorry I was turrible last season. but it wasn’t my fault..” zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

If you went through what he went through off the court you’d know. Shut up and think before you spout ignorance.

What? Everybody has a job! Spoiled, lazy crying ass! Friggin diva lamar!

Ya it’s pretty tough having to deal with life’s problems and still show up to work , not too mention getting millions to do it , it must be really distracting . Poor LO

It’s easy for people to scoff at Lamar and talk about what a baby he is, but if you encountered multiple tragedies in a short time, you would be unstable too. All the millions and the fame don’t matter if you’re life is in shambles. He’s a human, rich or not, so try to have compassion.

He did show up though, he attended team functions, relocated to a new city, went to practices and checked in when the coach told him too, his performance wasn’t was expected of him and the team parted ways as per his contract. Why are people so salty? Maybe get that hate and jealousy out of your system that he plays ball for a living and you are unhappy in whatever line of work you find yourself in. People don’t take into consideration the shelf life of a nba career on avg is 5-6 years, these men have to make enough to support their families for the rest of their lives.

Nicely said, I share the sentiment.

  • Redd

And if your mom passes away, you say “Man this hurts but I better not be late for work”? If so, you may not even be human.

Anyone that upsets Q-bano is cool w/ me. I can’t stand his ssmedium t shirts & botox.

Torrey Smith might disagree. He had a tragedy happen to him as well as still came out and performed like a professional.

try losing someone real close to you in a short time first, then judge.

Tragedies happen in life, if we would have been on the Lakers, he probably would have had a career season….he was inadequate from the moment he left LA…..lets be real here….

not salty at all, was trying to make a joke. i don’t hate him at all. and i’m cool with my job eventhough it is not fun. i know he showed up, but like u said he under performed in a major way and still got paid. sort of like “showing up” at the office and drinking coffee all day.

As a Queens native its hard to crticize Lamar but I will. I sympathize with him having to deal with those tragedies I really do, but I really think he was moreso affected by the cancelled trade from LA. He was hurt and he forced a trade to Dallas when in actuality he didn’t want to leave the Lakers and he sulked the rest of the time. Again, not saying its easy, but he dealt with tragedy before. Lamar had an infant son pass one summer and went on to have one of his best seasons ever. I think in this instance he’s making excuses. AND if he wants to apologize, I’m sure he can reach Cuban, without telling the media he’d like to do it.

He had 1 single tragedy, Odum had multiple. You’re a scum & waste of air. How can you even think like that? Do you have a single ounce of kindness in your heart? Or are you just miserable, bitter moron who spouts stupidity for fun? You’re pathetic.

  • shutup

I just don’t agree with your analogy or your analysis of his situation. I think you objectify him and other athletes with jokes like that. He upheld his contractual obligations yet people such as yourself; who think it’s okay to belittle him and make fun of his mental state just because he is lucky enough to play professional basketball for a living. First and foremost Lamar Odom and every other basketball player are human beings; and deserve to be treated as such.

  • bigA

    “You’re a scum & waste of air.” That’s pathetic.
    I’m sure you know though.
