Polladaday: LBJ vs. KD?

Lebron James and Kevin Durant are reportedly working out together once again. Are you cool with guys who are supposed to be on-court enemies hanging out during the off-season?

What do you think of LeBron James working out with Kevin Durant?

players do this all the time, rose allows westbrick to be in his presence as well. these guys are in opposite conferences, and to be honest they employ scouts who analyze what durant and james like to do from what they have for breakfast, to what move they go to in crunch time, so its not like its spoiling some secret. the whole point of being dominant is to have the opponent know what you want to do, but not to have a solution for it. (kobe chucking, lebron being a matchup nightmare, dirks fadeaway,) teams dont make it to the finals without something like that they can go to.

whatever, some of the greatest rivalries on court have been good friends off court. dont see what this should change. these guys would still go at each other in any nba game as hard as they can

Kobe wouldn’t work out with Wade…

I didn’t want to choose “don’t care” so I though about it for a while…
    Then I realized I don’t care.

    There’s arguments for both sides.
-For: It helps their games grow. They get to go against the best possible competition. Makes for better teammates in USA play. Less likely to lead to altercations on the court. Relieves stress.
-Against: Doesn’t allow for the introduction of “new” moves. Could lessen competitive motivation. Less exciting for fans. Provides clear scope of other player’s tendencies. Undermines teammates.
    -Don’t care: I don’t care.

So Kobe is your gold standard for a positive or productive athletic attitude?

  • Jibreel

Bottom line is, I’d never work out with the guy who just beat me in the finals.

You get better by training with the best, in sports or anything else. There aren’t many players better than KD. Working out with the one guy who is better is probably the best thing he can do to learn. Get over yourself dude.

  • Jibreel

Hey, this is just how I feel about it… Your opinion differs from mine, I respect that.

    Touche. Respect.

How do fans know what Kobe would do?

uhm, Kobe probably wouldn’t work out with Steve Nash either. Or any of his teammates for that matter.

Have no problem with this, just because they compete, doesnt meant they cant hang. Barkley and Jordan used to play Golf a lot. they still met in the NBA Championship.
