LeBron James Will Stop Yelling at Mario Chalmers Once He Grows Up

Mario Chalmers is the whipping boy in Miami, constantly getting showered with verbal abuse on the court by his Heat teammates. Chalmers wants LeBron and company to “tone it down” this year, and James is willing … if Chalmers can prove that he’s all grown up now. Per the Palm Beach Post: “If he’s grown up in the last year, then it will tone down,’ James said, laughing. ‘It’s that simple. If he doesn’t want that type of reaction from me or—’ He paused. ‘Yeah, I could do a better job of that as well,’ James said. ‘I understand. I could do a better job of that. But I don’t do it just to do it. He messes up sometimes. But he comes through for me, though.’”

Lebron about to go yell at him now for saying he doesnt want to get yelled at anymore!

  • Sizzla Dopeboy

In this case I believe that Lebron has no right whatsoever to shout at a teammate of his. After all, it was Lebron himself who was one of the least mature and focused players just a couple of seasons ago.

  • Sean B

Least mature and most focused while still averaging 29-7-7… stop it.

  • shockexchange

Mario should take it as a compliment when LeBron or Wade yells at him after a mistake. He should only be concerned when they stop yelling … that means they don’t think he has any potential. You see bron never yelled at Boobie Gibson or Mo Williams. Real talk.

  • Sizzla Dopeboy

Least mature while never coming up in the clutch until last season and never taking games over like he did last year. He also dealt with “the decison” in a very unprofessional way.

  • Fat Lever

Ok, so people get on Lebron a couple of seasons ago for not taking control of the team and being a leader. Now he’s taken that stance and people find other ways to criticize. Sometimes I don’t blame these guys for giving generic response to the media.

  • Redd

    LOL

  • Sizzle

I love haters like Sizzla Dopeboy, that just can’t let things go. Keep bringing up the decision, but not give a rats a** about Dwight Howard gutting a team and making a bigger a** out of himself than anyone before him…Plus I like the past logic, “Nasa never made it to the moon, until they finally did.”

  • Salty

WAS immature and unfocused. He isn’t now. He’s the leader of the team, and the leader should yell at his teammates when they need it (which Chalmers often does).

  • trent

But Chalmers don’t wanna grow up. He’s a toys’ r’ us kid!

  • daBIZ

the KING! took over plenty of games before last year — literally HUNDREDS of games between 2003 and 2011. So let’s not get that twisted. He cracked in the 2010 Celtics series and 2011 Finals. That’s it. He was always clutch beyond those 2 weeks.

  • rainman

Why would anyone need to yell at someone who is in the `top half of the top 10 pg`s`?

  • timbo slice

chalmers is shit, stop talking about this guy

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Verified Account

    bad chalmers!

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Verified Account

    this is a sad headline

  • GanjahLuv

CHalmers better thank his god everyfuckingday he is on the heat, cause if he werent, he’d be NOBODY. Foreal

  • spit hot fiyah

i would love to see mario play with ear plugs

  • Sizzla Dopeboy

Well, perhaps that because everyone saw it coming that Dwight Howard wanted to leave the magic. Its also the timing of the whole thing. The Magic had time to sort out a trade that involved an arguably top 2 center and another allstar in iggy. The Cavs got nothing in return and Lebron James made his choice way too late for them to get any reasnable free agents anymore. I really dont understan why everyone is getting os worked up about this, all im saying is that Lebron should consider his own actions before taunting a teammate of his for being seemingly “immature”. I am not a Lebron James hater, or even a Heat hater for that matter. Its just something that i thought was worth mentioning as it is strange for someone who used to face similar issues to go out and joke about something that is obviously a real concern to one of his teammates.

  • danpowers

i just found my love again for bron lol

I personally liked the relationship they had on the court. I never saw him do that when he was on the Cavs. It shows good leadership that you can have fun but also be hard on your teammates and push them to be better players.

I would like to see Lebron yell at wade and bosh once in a while. Just so they could get frustrated and take it out on their opponents. That would be awesome. Then after the game, they would all still go out to eat

  • Sizzle

When Chalmers is throwing his hands up in the air with 10 mins left to go into the finals, he is being immature and deserves to be yelled at. LeBron has learned from his mistakes, but regardless how often people bring up the decision, it is never going to change. Don’t even get me started on Howard. Signing on to play another year when he had no desire to play for the team, asking for the coach to be fired repeatedly, interrupting press conferences and acting like nothing is wrong. Handled much worse than the decision in my opinion…

  • dj nate

    thats craz!!!!!!!

  • lacking hommmie

    old fool nigga

  • bike

LeBron has earned the right to yell at whoever the hell he wants to.

  • 1982

I remember back in the day when Steve Kerr was all like, man, MJ, just pass me the ball when I’m open and stop being so intense. Take a chill pill, it was just a turnover.

  • shockexchange

rainman That’s the riddle of the year. I’m still scratching my head over that one.

  • ByAnyMeansNecessary

I think we should all finally agree to stop mentioning the summer of 2010 when discussing LeBron James. An hour of TV. Millions of dollars to the Boys & Girls Club. Cleveland fans with hurt feelings. If you’re not in Cleveland, you never really had a reason to be upset. Get over it. He’s apologized. Move on.

  • shutup

The Heat better thank Chalmers for stepping up in the playoffs last year, he was big against the Pacers and Celtics when it looked like the Heat were going to flame out last year. When Chris Bosh was attending to his menstruals and Wade was laying ducks every other game who was the second most consistent? Chalmers. Also he was the teams third leading scorer behind two future HOFers for the Championship run.

  • Brahsef

You’re the only one who brought it up…

  • ByAnyMeansNecessary

It would probably be a good idea to scroll down to see all the comments before you make such a comment. If you had scrolled down, you would’ve seen that another commenter brought it up.

  • Brad

Dwight left the magic with absolutely no one, you can’t even say he handled it better than LeBron did. LeBron left in free agency, Dwight cried for a trade the entire year. And when he finally got it, the trade made every team involved better except the Magic who got nothin but #3 option (at best) Arron Afflalo.

  • Salty

    ….You’ve…ahem….really thought this out huh?

  • Salty

    ….You’ve…ahem….really thought this out huh?

  • Ugh

It’s a fair call. He’s one of the best PG in the league, after all…

  • a

lebron is less clutch than chalmers…lebron should stick a fork in his ass when he misses every single shot

chalmers is a way better shooter and clutch player…lebron is a pussy who sells his shoes foe $270

  • roscoe

I don’t disagree with you completely Salty, but considering the timing of yelling at Chalmers is something to consider. Again, I don’t disagree with you completely, but doesn’t it seem a little “staged” no pun intended on the “decision” that Bron bron announces “DUN dun dunn… i will now yell at chalmers for being a chalmers.” Where is F-ing Jim G?
I guess I would say its completely okay in a game if Bron bron chooses to yell at him, i have no problem with that, but to announce it before training camp or at training camp I am not so sure what to think

  • rainman

    lmao

  • rainman

i was gonna leave it at the “lmao” but i feel the need to explain. Chalmers said he was in the top half of any “top 10 pg’s” list. So i said if thats the case there would be no need for Bron to be yelling at him.

  • Yi-Cheng Chen

    that’s y he paused. lol.

  • Yi-Cheng Chen

i guessed the yelling worked on Chalmers, eh?

  • shutup

lmao well maybe it did, but Lebron was nursing a bad wheel when Chalmers sealed that win and pretty much shut the door on OKC. Just showing that Chalmers isnt just some bum lucky to be playing in the NBA he contributes.

  • OneStep

Now that he’s a Top 10 PG Mario expects respect. Gtfoh. He’s not even going to play the point this year of LBJ makes good on the point-forward plan.

  • pposse

this cements it..Lebron and Wade will yell at Chalmers forever

  • shockexchange

rainman I got the first time you said it.

  • rainman

    lol, okay shockexchange
