Jason Terry Calls Kris Humphries a Fake Tough Guy After Fight

Things became testy and then some between the Boston Celtics and the visiting Brooklyn Nets last night.

Rajon Rondo, Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallace were all ejected following a long shoving match that spilled into the stands. After the game, both teams gave their versions of what happened out there.

According to Celtics guard Jason Terry, Kris Humphries isn’t so tough — he just acts like it.

From the Boston Herald:

Jason Terry, who played with Humphries during the 2009-10 season in Dallas, later tore into his former teammate. “That was unnecessary,” Terry said of Humphries’ foul on Garnett. “Some guys are tough and some guys pretend to be. He’s one that pretends to be. Maybe that’s the role Avery (Johnson) wants him to have.”

Asked what kind of player Humphries was in Dallas, Terry said, “Soft.”

Over on the Nets’ side, Kris Humphries tweeted out a photo of the scratches he got during the melee.

Reggie Evans, meanwhile, compared Rajon Rondo to a bug. Per the NY Daily News:

“That’s just like a mosquito in your face. Eventually, you are going to swat at the mosquito, right?” Evans told reporters. “You aren’t going to let mosquitos in your face. You are going to get bumps all over your face. So you have to knock the mosquito down.”

The Boston Celtics visit the Brooklyn Nets on Christmas Day for the rematch. Fun times.

    Garnett flopped, Kris barely touched him. I agree, the only fake tough guys here are Rhonda and that tag-along.

    Old man Terry is full of crap. Kris didn’t even commit a hard foul, he’s not even known for being that type of guy. Garnett flopped, wanna see a real fake tough guy? Look at him, he goes after smaller players than him but can’t take criticism or a little contact. Pathetic. Rondo is the worst of em all, great player, shitty personality. He’s a punk.

    agreed, Melo is mr sucker punch and run like a girl! Boston Celtics are full of fake tough guys starting with KG and going on down the roster. Their own coach just said they are soft.

    if i had to pick one roster with fake tough guys it would be the entire celtics team, i didn’t see anybody mess with reggie evans, they know better

    I agree the picture of Hump is pretty funny, the fact that he bothered to post them shows what a wuss he is. I don’t see how you can call Rondo a fake tough guy. How many players could dislocate their elbow, pop it back in an continue to play? I’d say that makes him pretty damn tough.

    he went after KG first and then the teams both joined in, he didn’t get shoved by anyone, or at least until after he made the flagrant foul.
