Jason Terry Criticizes Ray Allen for Joining the Miami Heat

Things have been quiet on the drama front when it comes to Ray Allen’s controversial departure from Boston to Miami. Jason Terry is happy to stoke the fire once again — Terry took a shot at Allen when complimenting Paul Pierce on his big performance last night. Per CSNNE: “Following Boston’s 103-91 win over Cleveland on Wednesday, much of the post-game chatter centered around 35-year-old Paul Pierce who had 40 points against the Cavs and in doing so, became the oldest Celtic ever to score 40 or more points. During Terry’s post-game spiel about Pierce which included the usual references to him being a future Hall of Famer and one of the greatest Celtics ever, Terry took a not-so-veiled dig at former Celtic Ray Allen. ‘His (Pierce) willingness to stick through the tough times and not just jump off, ‘I’m out of here! I’m going to join forces with Kobe (Bryant),’ or ‘I’m going to play with Dwyane Wade’ — that’s a shot right there,’ Terry said.”

And if anybody knows about leaving a team once they’ve got theirs, it’s former Dallas Maverick Jason Terry.

Talks a lot and usually delivers a lot. Yes, not on Jesus’ level, BUT one of the better 4th quarter scorers for a few years. You can’t say the dude isn’t clutch. He’s earned the right to talk some.

What a stupid comment. He had to sign somewhere. Ray up and ditched his boy’s to ride the coattails of younger stars to the Finals. Does he really think winning a chip with LeBron and Wade will improve his standing amongst NBA greats? Nope, if anything, it’s been significantly lowered.

  • Key_34

Terry campaigned for the job Ray got with the Heat during after a Mavs last year. So anything he says about Mia is kind of lame.

  • ea1

wow! a kettle calling a pot black. lol

  • 23

Ray was not wanted. He was already replaced by other SGs before he went to Miami. And if you judge a players legacy by anything other than what they do on the court, its just biased.

  • 23

Exactly, like Ray went to play alongside wade? Right….

  • http://www.facebook.com/evan.boland Evan Boland

Yup. And what he’s doing is coming off the bench for the defending champs, rather than keep trying. It’s a cop out. It’s sad. It’s the direction pro sports are headed.

    Terry talks too much.

  • Vince

Terry will be nowhere near the player Allen was, is and will be. This is ridiculous, Allen is a surefire HoFer.

  • 23

So your probably the type that likes seeing a superstar struggle on a 1-man team. Ray coming off the bench for Miami is better than coming off the bench for a team who didn’t treat you with respect. Cop out? So its ok that he left Seattle to join kg and peirce? #contraction

  • http://www.facebook.com/evan.boland Evan Boland

    Contraction, LMAO.

He was offered a deal… Waaay before the trade for Courtney Lee & definitely before Terry being signed. So what should we call you since you talking out the side of your arse?

I bet he bigger than you & you won’t run up on him WITH YOUR WANNA BE TUFF AZ
