LeBron James Dismisses Michael Jordan Picking Kobe Bryant Over Him

Michael Jordan raised more than a few eyebrows when he chose Kobe Bryant over LeBron James during an interview that will be televised on Monday, citing Kobe’s five NBA titles to LeBron’s one. James, too busy dominating the League to get into any kind of historical debate with MJ, said he doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him at this point. Not even Michael. Per the Miami Herald: “In an interview with NBATV, Jordan said he would take Bryant over James based on the fact that Bryant has won more championships. The majority owner and head of basketball operations for the Charlotte Bobcats, Jordan has had a spotty career as an evaluator of talent, but he probably couldn’t go wrong with either superstar. Still, given the choice, His Airness would take Bryant. ‘Five beats one every time I look at it,’ Jordan said. ‘And not that [James] won’t get five. He may get more than that, but five is bigger than one.’ [...] ‘It doesn’t matter to me,’ James said. ‘If you take Kobe one and I go second, it doesn’t matter. I don’t get too involved in what guys say about me or if you take Kobe or if you take LeBron. As long as I’m on the floor and I make plays for my teammates, I don’t do what I do for other people’s approval.’”

Lol they didnt ask him about duncan though sooooo….yeah. Im sure if they did it would make a more intersting decision process. Duncan was always the best on his fing winning squads hands down he was batman closest threat was Tony parker who was nightwing at best in that series at least. If they won now it would be opposite.

Yeah tonight on TNT Lebron did obviously appear a little slighted but he made great points about what defines a players individual greatness. Rings translate into great teams most of the time.

With those three you cannot really pick a wrong answer only a better answer with Lebron being the best choice.

Let’s keep it 1000, Jordan is hating. Son know his legacy is in the kind of JEOPARDY that Alex Trebek could call the outcome without three contestants. That’s why he’d give everything up to come back. At the same time, we have to acknowledge, MJ had a TEAM. Pippen, Grant, Cartwright, Kerr, Rodman, Harper, etc. and won 6 rings. So far LeBron has had a SQUAD at his helm. Wade, Bosh, Miller, Battier, Haslem, and now Allen and Lewis – and dunn got one ring, but WILL win more. If MJ had a SQUAD like that, he’d be one or two rings behind Bill Russell. Let’s not even get started with the hand checking rules. MJ was the man before and after those went into effect. LeBron is theee greatest of this generation (no apologies to Durant, Melo or Rose), but take away Wade, Bosh and all those d*ck riding ring chasers, and his team would be another Cavaliers. Wade and Bosh been putting up DOPE numbers lately, but no one give a damn cause LeBron been on Jupiter with his. He may be better than Jordan, but he sure as hell had a lot more help them him too. Got mad love for ya LeBron (even got ya rookie card), but you got more help now than G-Dub in the 2000 Presidential election. You still that dude though. Make no mistake.

You can’t really say a loaded roster does it all, Look at the Lakers, Look at the Knicks both of those teams have three olympians 5 gold medalists one silver medal winner who was the best on his squad. Neither of those teams are title favorites.

MJ understands basketball and he wants Bron to do more. Kobe has established himself as a great. Like Dirk stated in an article Slam will not post. Dirk stated Kobe has been the best player in the NBA the last 15 years. Watch everybody act like Dirk is off his rockers, when most of yall was all over him just 3 to 4 years ago when he got a ring. Kobe still has years left, Bron is playing well, but its being overhyped. During this time, Bosh is shooting over 60 percent too and Wade has a high fg percentage too. Once Bron loses in the playoffs this year, it will go back to he can’t shoot and he shrinks under pressure. Bron lucked up, against OKC, with KD having no Fire, or he would have been 0-3 in NBA Finals. Its funny Bron knows the truth and Wade does too. Wade has stated this about the dumb Bron-MJ comparison. Go look it up. Wade knows his career is looking worse by the second, he needs Bron to leave or if Bron keeps winning MVP’s with Wade on the team too, he will be seen in the history books as lower than Pippen. At least Kobe played so well he stopped Shaq from getting MVP trophies. Wade cannot do that now and Bron is getting the benefit of the doubt. The real MVP of the NBA is Chris Paul to be honest. BOOK IT!!!
