Orlando Magic and New York Knicks Reportedly Discussed JJ Redick Trade

According to Hoopsworld, though nothing appears imminent, the Magic and Knicks have talked about a trade involving JJ Redick and Iman Shumpert: “The Magic and Knicks have discussed a J.J. Redick for Iman Shumpert trade. Other players (and maybe a third team) would have to be involved.”

So they want to trade a defensive stopper for a player that’s not even close to imans first year

don’t like this for the knicks. they need to give shump more time to recover from his injury. and why give up your best perimiter defender who will be on his rookie contract for 3 more years? seems like the logic here is, we cooled off since our super hot shooting start, let’s fix that by getting another shooter

because decisions are made with more emotion than logic.

i agree w/ u that good perimeter D is hard to come by.

do the trade…they built to win now…Reddick a better fit with Melo …J.Kidd got to get off the court especially when he aint makin 3s ..which we all know thats not a problem with J.J.

We love Shump and his hipster flattop but he is not going to be a good fit with this current roster and JJ is SOLID. Pull the trigger on this one asap!

another jumpshooter on this team..live be the three, die by it, works during the season not in the playoffs ask SVG.

JJ is criminally underrated. Trust me NY, he’s an upgrade in the short term over Shump.

Whaaaaat?! I Love Shumpert! N/H. I’d Say Keep Him. J.j Is Good, But In The Long run, Shump Will Be Better.
