Carmelo Anthony May Get Ailing Knee Drained

The New York Knicks’ medical staff has to make a decision soon on Carmelo Anthony’s troublesome right knee. One of the potential short-term solutions, according to Melo, could be a draining of the fluid that has built up in the joint. Per the NY Post: “Carmelo Anthony said he expects to play (tonight) in his first homecoming in Denver but admitted his sore right knee is not getting better and if this continues, he may have the fluid in his knee drained. Mike Woodson listed him as ‘probably probable’ and Melo indicated he would play and then possibly reevaluate after the contest. [...] ‘We’re talking about it,’ Anthony said after practicing on the Nuggets practice court at Pepsi Center. ‘The doctors will sit down and talk about it and see my options. I think that’s the last option – to get the knee drained. I have to weigh all the options – how much time I’d have to take off. … It’s just frustrating and aggravating,’ Anthony said. ‘I have this lingering around it’s not getting no better, not getting no worse. It’s at a standstill right now.’”

Could have sworn after that Golden State loss, he said wasn’t getting his knee drained because he hates needles. Melo how can you hate needles when you got a rack of tattoos? Just a thought.
