Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol to Rejoin Lakers Lineup on Friday

Here’s a rarity for the Los Angeles Lakers this season — they’ll have their complete, healthy starting lineup playing together tonight. Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol are expected to suit up against the visiting Washington Wizards. Per the LA Times: “Kobe Bryant participated in a five-on-five scrimmage Thursday. So did Pau Gasol. Bryant left a little early because his sprained left ankle stiffened a bit, but Lakers Coach Mike D’Antoni wasn’t concerned about his availability Friday against Washington. ‘He’ll be ready,’ D’Antoni said. Gasol missed 20 games because of a tear inside the bottom of his right foot. He will play limited minutes Friday while simultaneously trying to get in shape. ‘It’s not good,’ Gasol said of his conditioning. ‘But I’ll continue to work on it and it’ll continue to get better.’ For the first time since Jan. 30, Gasol and Bryant will be on the active roster with Dwight Howard, Steve Nash and Metta World Peace, the lineup that ‘if we’re going to do any damage, has to happen,’ D’Antoni said.”

    So it begins.

the good thing for the Lakers is that Utah doesn’t seem interested in winning games anymore

I’m cautiously optimistic. I mean, how can adding more talent to a team bereft of it in depth make the team worse……right?

Atleast the return is against the Wizards……

let’s see if they actually have some chemistry.

It’s all about Steve Blake baby. The Lakers true star. Everything else will fall into place. lol…

With Pau moving to the bench, it makes the second unit tougher, especially since D’Antoni usuallu pairs up Pau with one of the stars. He’s actually most effective when he and Kobe are on the court together (without Dwight and Nash).

    Drool? No.
But I love basketball, and i’m as avid a Lakers fan as any. I love watching the team and all it’s components. I love watching them even when they crumble, only to watch them rebuild themselves as the season moves forward.
So many unexpected things happen and it’s fun to be along for the ride. It’s a ride unlike any other. It’s up and down, but allot of ups.
So yeah I love basketball and this team if that’s what your asking.
