LeBron James Glad He Dunked All Over Jason Terry

Jason Terry’s incessant yapping got him in trouble when the Miami Heat paid the Boston Celtics a visit on Monday night. LeBron James unleashed one of the signature dunks of his career, and Terry was victimized. Well, LeBron couldn’t be happier with the result. Per the Sun-Sentinel: “Asked after the morning shootaround at Quicken Loans Arena if he had the opportunity to review the dunk, James nodded and said, ‘Yeah, I have, I have.’ He wasn’t finished. No, not after Terry has taken opportunities while with both the Dallas Mavericks and now Celtics to launch verbal salvos at James’ Heat, including when the Mavericks defeated the Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals. ‘It was one of my better ones,’ James said. ‘And the fact that it happened to J.T. made it even that much sweeter. Because I think we all know what J.T. talks, and he talks too much sometimes and I’m glad it happened to him.’”

true that. sure, james has the “bigger” carreer as the best player of his time but people put too much into those dunks. its just two points. and yes, what terry did was much bigger. dunking on someone once doesnt mean sh*t compared to being a key guy during the nba finals.

  • danpowers

    uhm…. both lol

  • danpowers

    lol

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Here we go with the “just two points” garbage. How about being the best player on a championship winning team which LeBron was last season? It’s been almost 2 years and that’s the last noteworthy moment Jason Terry had.

  • danpowers

b*tch please. lebron is the best of our time, period. that jam was huge, sure. terry is just not his weight class. you have a case here of goliath doing his job by pounding david, lol. everybody who saw it live will agree how much “bigger” that performance of this small dude, david at his age against those goliath / heat was in that finals series, than one single dunk.

it is also absolutely clear, that james is the better player and will most likely have more rings once he retires. i think nobody could possibly argue any of that.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

LeBron’s performance last season including the playoffs was “bigger” than anything Terry has done in his career. So Terry should keep his mouth shut.

  • danpowers

true it was but they didnt really have a “duel” then (if they ever had). i was just referring to those two things: that 2011 finals and now that jam. it wouldnt make any sense at all to discuss who the greater player and logically better overall performance was or is. james is in a class of his own as a player.

  • danpowers

    uhm…. humor, irony, sarcasm anyone?

  • KevinJohnsonFan

What doesn’t make sense is saying “he whooped that a$$ in the 2011 Finals”…when Terry was a piece, but not the biggest piece on the team that beat Miami. If anything, Dirk Nowitzki “whooped that a$$”.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

He’s not being sarcastic. He really believes LeBron is on steroids. Look at what he’s been saying.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Dwight and Kobe must have both been on steroids too. These guys came straight out of high school with high school bodies.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

No need to mention Jason Terry in the same sentence with LeBron as if he was the main one who beat Miami in that series. Ever heard of a dude named Dirk Nowitzki?

  • danpowers

they both did. anytime dirk was struggling terry bailed him out. nowitzki was the biggest piece but terry was still a big and decisive one. and it does make sense, as terry was playing better than james in that series.

  • danpowers

i wouldnt be suprised if james was actually on roids but what i highly doubt is that he actually believes terry is 74 years old. he might shouldve added a little ” ;) ” on all that

  • RKJ92

That’s why I used the word embellish Dan, http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/embellish?s=t there you go buddy!

  • RKJ92

I appreciate you taking this idiot to school, but please leave my team out of this thank you.

  • rich

Not that I care to engage talk about Lebron and steroids since I’m mot privy to his blood tests, but the idea of anyone without a medical degree or Ph.D claiming to be an expert on the human body’s physical limits annoys me. Studying weight lifting does not a doctor make.

  • RKJ92

    :)

  • danpowers

    still mate, still

So steroids help you avoid injuries. Somebody better tell Mark McGuire he got shafted.

    true

  • KevinJohnsonFan

It doesn’t make sense at all. Nowitzki belongs in the same sentence as LeBron because he’s a star player and averaged 26 a game earning himself a Finals MVP. Terry had two big 20 point games but Dirk was special all 6 games. So no, to say that Terry “whooped that a$$” makes no sense. It’s stupid, really.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

The only reason I brought them in is because this dude is a Raptors fan and appears to be upset with James because Bosh is playing with him and has won a championship with him. Which means that he should talk about Bosh and his hair if he wants, but going after LeBron with this whole steroids thing is ridiculous. If you’re a real Raptors fan, you should be ashamed of this guy.

Wow, who knew he knew he dunked on him?

  • pposse

i just put in my two cents, but note i prefaced my statement with what someone told me. The reason why i said what i said is bc I’m 28 and i go to the gym 5-6 times a week and have been doing this for nearly 2 years. I gained maybe 7 lbs total from this work. I’m no weight room warrior or anything but im not staring off into space either when i’m there. I tend to believe this bc of my own experience, but your right I’m no doctor and neither are the sources, i def would not be surprised if it is possible and hope that it is.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

I guess not too many people have paid attention to LeBron’s physique since he’s been in the league. Dude is obviously not on steroids. But the fools shall be left to themselves to believe what they want to believe.

  • Darksaber

Ownage, backed up with satisfaction after the fact.
Yes, Lebron is getting quite savvy at the games within the NBA game.
    About time.

  • Lloyd

Why is it “obvious”? There are different kind of steroids, not just ones that make you freakishly big and veiny. Dude is built a lot sturdier than when he came into the league and is the top player at the highest level in his field. That’s a lot of pressure. There’s definitely a chance he took some sort of enhancements. There’s no way to no fure sure if he did, but just the same, you can’t say for certain he didn’t.

  • Lloyd

    *for

  • danpowers

man i dont know. i wont say “he has to be on steroids” but as a said, i wouldnt be suprised if he was

  • danpowers

you didnt see those finals, did you?

and wtf? i never said terry was on the same level as james as a player. hell no. he just played better than james through the decisive parts of this series. so what is more impressive? stepping up in the nba finals or humilating a guy with one dunk? maybe thats a matter of taste but id go with winning a championship over one dunk 10 out of 10 times. and now i am out, as a knick i slowly get sick of defendinvg a celtic lol

  • AndyK415

How is it so obvious? Are you on ‘roids? Cuz you’re getting a little worked up over all of this…and that Terry was 74 is sarcasm

  • KevinJohnsonFan

No, I’m just not an idiot. I have eyes and can see when a guy goes from being slim to bulking up quite a bit in a short period of time which he didn’t do. It was gradual. It’s obvious that LeBron going from the ages of 18 to 28 would naturally go through a physical change even without working out. That’s what happens when you go from being a boy to a man. This is common knowledge. Add that to his access of the best equipment and trainers. He never really lifted weights in high school. So when he finally did, we saw what it did to his body. Conspiracy theories to explain his success just makes me laugh.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Why does he have to be on steroids? Why would one reach that far for an explanation? Why can’t it just be hard work? Guys bodies change. D-Wade’s body is bigger than it was when he was a rookie, is he on steroids too? Dwight Howard has gained 25 pounds since he’s been in the league. Did Michael Jordan also take steroids once people started to say he couldn’t win a championship while leading the league in scoring? Wasn’t he under pressure? What about Shaq? 294 when he got into league…got up to 325 if not more. Kobe’s muscle gain before the 2002-2003 season, was that also steroids?

  • RKJ92

I am ashamed of cubicleworker, he’s an embarrassment to my city and knows nothing about basketball, however be weary of what you say because as a Raptor fan I don’t like to see my team associated with moron’s, but that’s no reason to bash them.. discrete or not :-/

  • Lloyd

It doesn’t have to be steroids, but it just as well could be. You’re saying it’s obvious that for sure Lebron is not on steroids, but there’s no way to say that that’s the case. A lot of arguments can be made for the fact that he could be using enhancements. Do I think that he is? I would like to think he isn’t, but I’m not naive enough to say that for sure he’s not.

  • Lloyd

But I am a Raps fan, so I may just be one of those “crazies” you were ranting about.

  • rich

For the record, I’m still just a third year student, but I also doubt how likely it is that it could happen. It’ just that one of the things I’ve learned is that muscle hypertrophy can be achieved in a lot of different ways. There is a chance he could be PED free. We can’t know for sure but I doubt Lebron takes or has taken any anabolic steroids. Now HGH? He and a lot of NBA guys look like they’ve dabbled a bit. I won’t accuse anyone because I simply don’t know. No one can know until the NBA gets serious about HGH testing.

  • AndyK415

Okay but please tell me that you don’t believe that all players in the NBA are clean.

  • Ugh

Trainers lie. First thing you need to learn about going to the gym.
Second thing you need to learn about going to the gym is that you can hide 8lbs of muscle in a couple of inches in one thigh. You really think you can’t make your thighs two inches bigger in diameter in a whole year?

  • Ugh

Try going 2-3 days a week instead. You’ll gain that much muscle in less than half a year.
