LeBron James Glad He Dunked All Over Jason Terry

Jason Terry’s incessant yapping got him in trouble when the Miami Heat paid the Boston Celtics a visit on Monday night. LeBron James unleashed one of the signature dunks of his career, and Terry was victimized. Well, LeBron couldn’t be happier with the result. Per the Sun-Sentinel: “Asked after the morning shootaround at Quicken Loans Arena if he had the opportunity to review the dunk, James nodded and said, ‘Yeah, I have, I have.’ He wasn’t finished. No, not after Terry has taken opportunities while with both the Dallas Mavericks and now Celtics to launch verbal salvos at James’ Heat, including when the Mavericks defeated the Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals. ‘It was one of my better ones,’ James said. ‘And the fact that it happened to J.T. made it even that much sweeter. Because I think we all know what J.T. talks, and he talks too much sometimes and I’m glad it happened to him.’”

    This is great

  • LakeShow

I still like mean Bron best.

  • Sizzle

Que the LeBron haters! I love this comment. I highly doubt we will hear JET responded. He crash landed Monday Night. RIP JET, RIP

  • Slick Ric

You dunking on him, still won’t replace he whooped that a$$ in 2011 finals…

  • Slick Ric

Lebron obviously still can’t get over the fact that Jet outplayed him in the 2011 finals

  • KevinJohnsonFan

No, Jet can’t get over the fact that those Finals were almost 2 years ago and LeBron has since gone on to win his own championship and separate himself from everyone else in the league as easily the best player. Jason brought this on himself. He had a good game and hit some shots over LeBron and his head blew up.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Jason hitting some shots over him in those Finals 2 years ago won’t replace the fact that LeBron dunked all over him after he ran his mouth about the Heat’s winning streak and is the best player in basketball while dude has been a shell of his former self in Boston. And they lost the game. Who and what will we remember when their careers are done? Jason, good 6th man. LeBron, top 5 player of all time most likely. Let’s be honest here.

  • CubicleDunker

Cuz a 6’9 guy on steroids dunking on a 74 year old 6’2 guy playing defense on a 3 on 1 is crazy impressive

  • Rugulose

Direct quote from the Jet himself:

“I’m like Paul [Pierce]. He had the best quote I ever heard, ‘I hope they lose every game.’ If you ask me, I’m still mad about the ’05-06 season. I should have two championships. Everyone knows what the Mavericks teams that I played on did when we beat them for the 2011 championship. So I don’t bring it up. What I do is that I let my team know their weaknesses. I know ways to beat them. I won’t share with everyone else what they are until that time comes.”

Now which one of them sounds like they can’t let the past go?!

  • Max

    His head literally blew up.

  • Max

    He kinda deserved that alot.

What are you doing on here….you should be on Sports Center with BS like that.

  • RKJ92

What in the entire f*ck are you talking about? LeBron is 6’7 without shoes, and 6’8 in them idk where your getting this 6’9 ish from.. secondly he’s not on steroids, and Jason Terry isn’t 74 years old. Don’t comment here if your going to embellish, and make things up.

  • Steve

JT really talks a lot, and by a lot I mean without thinking. he’s a blabber, watch his interview after being hired by the C’s you’ll see what I mean lol. it’s not Lebron that can’t let go, but it’s JT that keeps talking about it. no hate :)

Don’t start none, won’t be none.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

The fact that 4 people gave this a thumbs up is sad.

  • bike

Yet another weapon in Jame’s growing arsenal. You trash talk him or his team and he will go gladiator all over yo azz.

  • playa

Dude chill, why get so emotional about some guy trash talking a little nonsense, you got so defensive like you hang out with lebron after the games .LBJ is the best right know, everyone knows it, and let’s wait with the all-time ratings for about 10 more years&we will see what happens.

  • bike

It might help to loosen the straps on your straightjacket my man. Might be cutting off blood supply to critical areas.

  • K_HOLIDAY

I’m glad JT got dunked on too! All that running off at the mouth he does is annoying! Deshawn Stevenson better stay his @$$ out of the paint because he’s next! Kendell Gill decking haters while Lebron dunks on his! Manslaughter and Jamslaughter baby! Man I love the NBA!

  • KoloradoKobe

When you win the game AND cram a mean one on the cat that was trash talking you, you got the right to say whatever the hell you want.

  • Slick Ric

Calm down KJF….we all know Lebron is much better, no need to even mention that, just jokes.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003246310246 Jason Carter

Feelings are clearly still hurt from 2011..sorry Bronhuggers.

  • CubicleDunker

How do you not ascertain that he is on steroids? Or at least give thought to the possibility. Guy has gained about 40 pounds since he joined the league. “That’s not true, official stats say he only gained ten pounds”, look at a pic of his rookie year and compare it to him this season. He’s got about 10 pounds in his SHOULDERS alone. Even look at him the beginning of the first season with the heat, suffers an embarassing loss, comes back about 10-15 pounds heavier and and they win the championship while being BULLETPROOF injury wise.
And yes, Jet is 74 years old. Born in 1939, check the celtics official page.

  • CubicleDunker

Lebron is 28 with a 50 year old Barry Bonds forehead…
Jokes aside anybody who says there’s no possibility of steroids at all is delusional

  • Gman

me too LeBron… me too hahaha

  • Gman

boshs last year as a Raptor, didnt he gain like 15 pounds in a summer? Roids too?

  • Gman

why is everyone connecting this to 2011?

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Dude, where do you get me being emotional from? Stating the truth is emotional? “…he whooped that a$$ in 2011 Finals” sounds more emotional than anything I said.

  • CubicleDunker

Yea but half of that was those dumb fcking braids I had to see for 3 years flopping around while he missed pump fake 18 footers at the buzzer and 2 foot layups instead of dunking while missing the playoffs by 1 game a season.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

LeBron came into the league at 6’8 240 as a teenager. So do you think he was on steroids in high school too? He’s played at 260 at the most. He’s down from that now. So where do you get the steroid thing from? People gain and lose 20 pounds all the time.

  • CubicleDunker

You probably thought Blake Griffing jumping over the hood of a Kia was more impressive than any of the dunks DeMar DeRozan did that year too hey?

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Dude says Jason Terry is 74 years old and thinks that a basketball players body doesn’t change from the ages of 18 to 28 which LeBron is now. It’s no surprise that he sounds as foolish as he does.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

A crazy Raptors fan. I get it now. You seriously believe LeBron played at 280 pounds? He came into the league at 240. He was 260 at the most. He’s 250 now. No steroids involved. Go sit down.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Because they can’t talk about what he did in 2012.

  • vtrobot

You think ‘Bron is the same size now as he was in HS? Really? Watch a YouTube clip. I’m not on board with any conspiracy theories, but when there’s that much money involved …

  • http://www.rich-imaging.com/ Dutch Rich

I’ve notified Rush Limbaugh and the Birthers, don’t worry…we’ll get to the bottom of all this!

  • vtrobot

One of the best and most subtle taunts of the season too. Completely badassss. Just a little step towards the victim and a brief pause, even though nothing else was needed to be said. T was deserved but worth it.

  • CubicleDunker

Man haha, check pictures and tell me if he only looks ten pounds heavier now than in ’03.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Did I say he was the same size? I said he was 240 when he came into the league. He got up to 260. He’s now around 250. Dude said he gained 40 pounds since he’s been in the league and actually believes it. When guys are on steroids, there is no gradual growth. Every year, there was gradual growth with his weight. Compare how he looked in 07-08 with how he looked during and after the Olympics of 08. That’s when he put on more muscle. It was natural. If you think he did steroids, tell me when you saw him put on muscle out of nowhere. How many 28 year olds do you know who look the same as they did when they were 18? You know where that money has gone? His personal chef, personal trainers, access to the best equipment money can buy.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

You check pictures and tell me if you see 40 new pounds from ’03 to ’09-’10 when he was the biggest he’s been. If you think there’s a 40 pound difference from 03 to now, you either need a brain examination or an eye examination. Or it’s just the hate talking because Chris Bosh left your Raptors, is playing with LeBron now, and has a championship.

  • https://twitter.com/jasontichenor Mr. Wet

dude had a angry mug for like 4 minutes after that dunk. It was nuts.

  • Lloyd

Now THAT’S what sports need more of. I’m glad Lebron didn’t give the traditional, “No didn’t watch it back, it’s just another dunk. All that mattered was we played hard and got the win”. There needs to be more trash talking, rivalries, and genuine dislike between players/teams. Sports in general are too huggy huggy now.

  • pposse

i’ve read and heard thru trainers at the gym that its physically not possible to gain more than 8 lbs of muscles per year naturally.

  • Andrej

anyone who is into the world of bodybuilding and goes to the gym frequently knows that you cant gain 15 pounds of muscle in a summer thats ridiculous if you gain a pound of muscle a month that is considered to be crazyyyy .. the average id say is .7- 0.5 pounds of muscle a month with hard work….

  • VanCityBBall

i dont consider myself a “lebron hater”, i’m just a C’s guy- leading to loathing of the heat but even i have to admit JET got what he had coming… just give respect where respect is due

  • LeroyShonuff

I don’t know if Bron is on steroids but the pics are pretty convincing. Also people who say steroids don’t work in basketball are delusional. A whole lot of players are on substances besides weed.

  • 23

It was an idiotic statement. Terry and LeBron shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence actually.

  • 23

    Look at dwights rookie physique.

  • 23

You do know LeBron was only 18 as a rookie right?

  • danpowers

true that. sure, james has the “bigger” carreer as the best player of his time but people put too much into those dunks. its just two points. and yes, what terry did was much bigger. dunking on someone once doesnt mean sh*t compared to being a key guy during the nba finals.

  • danpowers

    uhm…. both lol

  • danpowers

    lol

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Here we go with the “just two points” garbage. How about being the best player on a championship winning team which LeBron was last season? It’s been almost 2 years and that’s the last noteworthy moment Jason Terry had.

  • danpowers

b*tch please. lebron is the best of our time, period. that jam was huge, sure. terry is just not his weight class. you have a case here of goliath doing his job by pounding david, lol. everybody who saw it live will agree how much “bigger” that performance of this small dude, david at his age against those goliath / heat was in that finals series, than one single dunk.

it is also absolutely clear, that james is the better player and will most likely have more rings once he retires. i think nobody could possibly argue any of that.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

LeBron’s performance last season including the playoffs was “bigger” than anything Terry has done in his career. So Terry should keep his mouth shut.

  • danpowers

true it was but they didnt really have a “duel” then (if they ever had). i was just referring to those two things: that 2011 finals and now that jam. it wouldnt make any sense at all to discuss who the greater player and logically better overall performance was or is. james is in a class of his own as a player.

  • danpowers

    uhm…. humor, irony, sarcasm anyone?

  • KevinJohnsonFan

What doesn’t make sense is saying “he whooped that a$$ in the 2011 Finals”…when Terry was a piece, but not the biggest piece on the team that beat Miami. If anything, Dirk Nowitzki “whooped that a$$”.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

He’s not being sarcastic. He really believes LeBron is on steroids. Look at what he’s been saying.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Dwight and Kobe must have both been on steroids too. These guys came straight out of high school with high school bodies.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

No need to mention Jason Terry in the same sentence with LeBron as if he was the main one who beat Miami in that series. Ever heard of a dude named Dirk Nowitzki?

  • danpowers

they both did. anytime dirk was struggling terry bailed him out. nowitzki was the biggest piece but terry was still a big and decisive one. and it does make sense, as terry was playing better than james in that series.

  • danpowers

i wouldnt be suprised if james was actually on roids but what i highly doubt is that he actually believes terry is 74 years old. he might shouldve added a little ” ;) ” on all that

  • RKJ92

That’s why I used the word embellish Dan, http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/embellish?s=t there you go buddy!

  • RKJ92

I appreciate you taking this idiot to school, but please leave my team out of this thank you.

  • rich

Not that I care to engage talk about Lebron and steroids since I’m mot privy to his blood tests, but the idea of anyone without a medical degree or Ph.D claiming to be an expert on the human body’s physical limits annoys me. Studying weight lifting does not a doctor make.

  • RKJ92

    :)

  • danpowers

    still mate, still

  • http://twitter.com/AjpDos Allen Powell

So steroids help you avoid injuries. Somebody better tell Mark McGuire he got shafted.

  • http://www.facebook.com/chris.callihan1 Chris Callihan

    true

  • KevinJohnsonFan

It doesn’t make sense at all. Nowitzki belongs in the same sentence as LeBron because he’s a star player and averaged 26 a game earning himself a Finals MVP. Terry had two big 20 point games but Dirk was special all 6 games. So no, to say that Terry “whooped that a$$” makes no sense. It’s stupid, really.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

The only reason I brought them in is because this dude is a Raptors fan and appears to be upset with James because Bosh is playing with him and has won a championship with him. Which means that he should talk about Bosh and his hair if he wants, but going after LeBron with this whole steroids thing is ridiculous. If you’re a real Raptors fan, you should be ashamed of this guy.

  • http://www.facebook.com/starkpwnsyou Joshua Maria Peter Bautista

Wow, who knew he knew he dunked on him?

  • pposse

i just put in my two cents, but note i prefaced my statement with what someone told me. The reason why i said what i said is bc I’m 28 and i go to the gym 5-6 times a week and have been doing this for nearly 2 years. I gained maybe 7 lbs total from this work. I’m no weight room warrior or anything but im not staring off into space either when i’m there. I tend to believe this bc of my own experience, but your right I’m no doctor and neither are the sources, i def would not be surprised if it is possible and hope that it is.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

I guess not too many people have paid attention to LeBron’s physique since he’s been in the league. Dude is obviously not on steroids. But the fools shall be left to themselves to believe what they want to believe.

  • Darksaber

Ownage, backed up with satisfaction after the fact.
Yes, Lebron is getting quite savvy at the games within the NBA game.
    About time.

  • Lloyd

Why is it “obvious”? There are different kind of steroids, not just ones that make you freakishly big and veiny. Dude is built a lot sturdier than when he came into the league and is the top player at the highest level in his field. That’s a lot of pressure. There’s definitely a chance he took some sort of enhancements. There’s no way to no fure sure if he did, but just the same, you can’t say for certain he didn’t.

  • Lloyd

    *for

  • danpowers

man i dont know. i wont say “he has to be on steroids” but as a said, i wouldnt be suprised if he was

  • danpowers

you didnt see those finals, did you?

and wtf? i never said terry was on the same level as james as a player. hell no. he just played better than james through the decisive parts of this series. so what is more impressive? stepping up in the nba finals or humilating a guy with one dunk? maybe thats a matter of taste but id go with winning a championship over one dunk 10 out of 10 times. and now i am out, as a knick i slowly get sick of defendinvg a celtic lol

  • AndyK415

How is it so obvious? Are you on ‘roids? Cuz you’re getting a little worked up over all of this…and that Terry was 74 is sarcasm

  • KevinJohnsonFan

No, I’m just not an idiot. I have eyes and can see when a guy goes from being slim to bulking up quite a bit in a short period of time which he didn’t do. It was gradual. It’s obvious that LeBron going from the ages of 18 to 28 would naturally go through a physical change even without working out. That’s what happens when you go from being a boy to a man. This is common knowledge. Add that to his access of the best equipment and trainers. He never really lifted weights in high school. So when he finally did, we saw what it did to his body. Conspiracy theories to explain his success just makes me laugh.

  • KevinJohnsonFan

Why does he have to be on steroids? Why would one reach that far for an explanation? Why can’t it just be hard work? Guys bodies change. D-Wade’s body is bigger than it was when he was a rookie, is he on steroids too? Dwight Howard has gained 25 pounds since he’s been in the league. Did Michael Jordan also take steroids once people started to say he couldn’t win a championship while leading the league in scoring? Wasn’t he under pressure? What about Shaq? 294 when he got into league…got up to 325 if not more. Kobe’s muscle gain before the 2002-2003 season, was that also steroids?

  • RKJ92

I am ashamed of cubicleworker, he’s an embarrassment to my city and knows nothing about basketball, however be weary of what you say because as a Raptor fan I don’t like to see my team associated with moron’s, but that’s no reason to bash them.. discrete or not :-/

  • Lloyd

It doesn’t have to be steroids, but it just as well could be. You’re saying it’s obvious that for sure Lebron is not on steroids, but there’s no way to say that that’s the case. A lot of arguments can be made for the fact that he could be using enhancements. Do I think that he is? I would like to think he isn’t, but I’m not naive enough to say that for sure he’s not.

  • Lloyd

But I am a Raps fan, so I may just be one of those “crazies” you were ranting about.

  • rich

For the record, I’m still just a third year student, but I also doubt how likely it is that it could happen. It’ just that one of the things I’ve learned is that muscle hypertrophy can be achieved in a lot of different ways. There is a chance he could be PED free. We can’t know for sure but I doubt Lebron takes or has taken any anabolic steroids. Now HGH? He and a lot of NBA guys look like they’ve dabbled a bit. I won’t accuse anyone because I simply don’t know. No one can know until the NBA gets serious about HGH testing.

  • AndyK415

Okay but please tell me that you don’t believe that all players in the NBA are clean.

  • Ugh

Trainers lie. First thing you need to learn about going to the gym.
Second thing you need to learn about going to the gym is that you can hide 8lbs of muscle in a couple of inches in one thigh. You really think you can’t make your thighs two inches bigger in diameter in a whole year?

  • Ugh

Try going 2-3 days a week instead. You’ll gain that much muscle in less than half a year.
