Omer Asik Out With a Strained Calf Muscle

Houston Rockets big man Omer Asik has been listed as day-to-day, after suffering a strained calf on Sunday. Per the Houston Chronicle: “Greg Smith (strained right hip) is also day-to-day and Marcus Camby (plantar fasciitis) is out this week, leaving Howard and rookie Jordan Henriquez available at the position. Guard/forward Francisco Garcia sat out Sunday to rest the sore groin muscle he tweaked at the Tournament of the Americas, but had been practicing.”

Nah. that Line up is deadly defensively. Howard at the 4 helps out on the fast breaks and keeps asik from having to run too much so that he can man the defensive end. McHale needs to focus on using a 3 2 motion offense with high post pick plays.
