Kemba Walker Reportedly Starting For Bobcats

Given the Cats’ addition of Ramon Sessions this offseason, it’s notable (if not surprising) that Kemba is being called the starter at point guard. According to the Charlotte Observer, the Bobcats have faith in Walker, but whether he can keep the job is another question: “Kemba Walker didn’t go to Italy, Australia or Brazil this off-season. He went to the gym. What did Walker, who will start at point guard next season for the Charlotte Bobcats, do on summer vacation? He stayed in Charlotte. He shot. ‘Just pretty much everything,’ Walker said late Wednesday afternoon. ‘You know, pick and roll, just taking a whole bunch of shots. Overall, shooting.’”

not surprising at all, might as well let him try to develop as much as possible since the bobcats are not contending for anything this year. and sessions showed last season with the lakers that he is better as a back up in this league

We should see some progress this year with the Bobcats. I think it’s only right that Walker runs the point and help redeem them from the atrocity of last season. He played pretty well in summer league too. I believe MKG is going to change the losing culture and with the addition of another competitor like Jeff Taylor, everyone on the team is going to be pushed to step their game up. Stephen A. Smith was mad that a winner like MKG went to the Bobcats, but it could be a blessing in disguise. The right kind of player for the right kind of situation. He has that team first spirit that’s going to make everyone a better player.

    That was obvious dooh.

Kemba is a COLD BLOODED SCORER!!!

    not surprised at all.

How bummed must Ramon Sessions be, going from starting point guard of the Lakers to the reserve guard for the Bobcats?

this season looks a lot better for the bobcats…atleast they have hope ( player development wise goes.) They will be bearable to watch with MKG and Kemba and even Bismack developing into better players. As far as their record goes though? Looks like another top 3 pick next year haha

He’s the best player on the worst team, this is kinda obvious.

if the bobcats play their cards right they can really emerge and develop as a team within the next 2 – 3 years. who knows, maybe sessions wants to be a part of that

  • larrryknows

sessions doesnt even play like a point guard. maybe he’ll be good as a sixth man playing as a sg.

MKG is already better than Walker. There is no denying this.

  • Jimbo

He hasn’t played a game in the NBA yet… so there is denying this.
