Last night in Washington, for the third straight game and 11th time this season, Kevin Love recorded over 20 points and 20 rebounds. Even more impressive, the 20 point 21 rebound performance was his 50th straight double-double. The power forward is now one game shy of tying Moses Malone’s record of 51 straight double-doubles. He could tie the record at home on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks, and break it against Indiana on Wednesday. Maybe then Mike Beasley—who last night said, “Yeah, it’s kind of normal now. Tell me 40-40 and I’ll get excited”—will get pumped by Love’s feats.
