The League named its best defenders, as determined by the coaches (and somehow, Kobe Bryant was named to the first team. Yikes.) The OC Register has the names: “Kobe Bryant was voted Monday to the NBA All-Defensive team for a record-tying ninth time in his [15]-year career by league coaches, the NBA announced. Bryant, who received 33 points, and Kevin Garnett, who also made the team, joined Michael Jordan and Gary Payton for the most honors in NBA history. FIRST TEAM: Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant. SECOND TEAM: Tony Allen, Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler, Andre Iguodala, Joakim Noah.”
