According to the Detroit News, the Pistons are hoping some of Dwane Casey’s championshp mettle will rub off on them if they can convince him to jump ship: “Now that the NBA Finals are over, the Pistons will try to interview Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey, according to a source. The Pistons will have to get permission from Mavericks general manager Donnie Nelson. Casey was the Timberwolves coach from 2005-07. He was fired after a 20-20 start in his second season. The Pistons have reached out to Mike Woodson, Kelvin Sampson, Lawrence Frank and Bill Laimbeer, among others.”
