While Ray Allen is currently in South Beach flirting with the Miami Heat, the Memphis Grizzlies are said to be heavily interested in his services. Reports the Commercial Appeal: “As the NBA’s free agency period continues to heat up like the temperatures outside, news of potential Grizzlies moves remain the only thing cool in Memphis. Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen continues to be the top player sought by the Grizzlies, But whether Allen considers Memphis a real contender for his services remains to be seen. […] Earlier this week, Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace, who has been out of town, said he could have some free agent visits lined up upon his return to Memphis on Friday, but no such plans had been arranged with Allen.”
