On Monday, the WNBA held its 16th annual draft on the ESPN Campus in Bristol, CT. Before the festivities, Baylor standout Brittney Griner toured the ESPN complex on her skateboard and made the rounds on the network’s daily talkshows. With little surprise, the Phoenix Mercury selected Griner with the No. 1 overall pick. Following up Griner’s selection was forward Elena Delle Donne from Delaware going to the Chicago Sky with the second pick, and rounding out the top three was Notre Dame’s Skylar Diggins, who was selected by the Tulsa Shock.
