Player of the D.A.Y.

Slim pickins, as they say. Only two games played last night, plus some Greg Oden. I don’t want to use Oden for the award, cause I’m trying to keep it NBA only for my personal Sunday through Thursday night MVP race.

The award goes to Amare Stoudemire for the second time. As Russ pointed out, the Bulls are scorching hot right now winning 12 of 13, but the Suns are hotter than ever. And they have been blazing at times over the past few years. Amare isn’t “back”, but he’s still good enough for 28 and 10 on 11 of 14 shooting.
