The Houston Rockets hired Hakeem Olajuwon immediately after the acquisition of center Dwight Howard through free agency. The two big men have begun their work on the block, with head coach Kevin McHale providing input. Per the Houston Chronicle: “Former Rockets center Hakeem Olajuwon was hired by the team to mentor Howard shortly after the free agent signing. After some hijinks in Aspen, Colo., Howard has returned and is getting to work with the Hall of Famer. Jason Friedman of Rockets.com posted several pictures of Howard, coach Kevin McHale and Olajuwon during a workout Monday at Toyota Center.”
