Sam Mitchell Joining Timberwolves Coaching Staff

Sam Mitchell got some looks as a potential head coach this offseason, but will ultimately settle as an assistant on Flip Saunders’ staff in Minnesota. He was last an assistant with the Nets, and was the Raptors’ coach for four seasons before his time in New Jersey.

Sam Mitchell is finalizing an agreement today to join Flip Saunders coaching staff in Minnesota, league source tells Yahoo.
