Shortly after Kobe Bryant became the third-leading scorer in NBA history Sunday night, Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan sent out a congratulatory note.
Kobe overtook his idol MJ with a free-throw in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 100-94 road win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Per the AP:
“I congratulate Kobe on reaching this milestone. He’s obviously a great player, with a strong work ethic and has an equally strong passion for the game of basketball.
I’ve enjoyed watching his game evolve over the years, and I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.”
