7-3 8th Grader Chol Marial is the Tallest Middle School Basketball Player in the World (VIDEO)
Meet 14-year-old Chol Marial. He’s an 8th grader from Sudan who lives in Orlando, Florida. He’s also 7-3 and can hoop.
Check out the Class of 2019 prospect’s highlights above—he actually moves pretty well for his size. He reminds us a little of fellow Florida big man Tacko Fall, who is headed to UCF in the fall.
But Marial, at 14, might already be smoother. He blocks shots, has good shooting form and can even throw down a between-the-legs dunk with ease. Then again, he towers over the competition playing for West Oaks HS (yeah, he plays on the high school team in 8th grade) and Team Florida in the NYBL.
We can’t wait to see how Marial progresses through high school. Kid has some serious potential if he can add muscle to that frame.
