The Kings were six seconds away from their first 30-win season in eight years. A five-second violation was called on an inbounds play, and both DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo began to sarcastically clap at the ref, presumably for making the call so late in the game with the Kings up by 14 points.
Rondo was hit with two technicals and ejected while Cousins picked up his 16th T on the season and will get a one-game suspension if the call is upheld.
