Nicolas Batum will miss the remainder of the Hornets’ first-round series against the Heat with a left ankle strain.
X-Rays on Wednesday revealed no fracture, but Hornets coach Steve Clifford was “very” concerned about Batum’s ankle after Game 2 loss to the Heat.
More from Chris Haynes of the Northeast Ohio Media Group:
Charlotte Hornets forward Nicolas Batum is expected to miss the remainder of the first-round series against the Miami Heat with a left ankle injury, league sources informed cleveland.com.
Batum, 27, underwent an X-ray on Thursday and the results did not reveal a fracture, a league source told cleveland.com. I’m told Batum is not able to place weight on the foot. The results of his MRI have yet to be released.
