Paul George is setting a huge personal goal for 2016-17 season: most valuable player in the NBA.
George, 26, is coming off a Gold Medal with USA Basketball at the Rio Olympics this summer and says he’ll be gunning for the MVP award.
The All-Star believes this is his year to shine.
Per 8points9seconds:
“I definitely want to be MVP this year,” George said on Sirius XM NBA Radio on Wednesday.
“It would be a challenge, but with coach Nate and the guys that I got here, I’m in position to move into that spot, as long as I remain being me, being a leader, being aggressive, and wanting that. It’s not mine for the taking. I gotta go get it. And this is my year to go get it.”
