T-Mac may end up landing where all former stars go to rot away: New York, naturally: “Mike D’Antoni Tuesday admitted being ‘intrigued’ by the possibility of adding Tracy McGrady, a player the Houston Rockets have agreed to trade. McGrady, who is in the last year of his deal, is earning a league-high $23million this season. His expiring contract makes him appealing to just about every team in the league, including the Rockets, who may simply allow his deal to run out. The Knicks would love to package either Jared Jeffries or Eddy Curry to acquire McGrady, which would give the club additional cap space this summer to sign two free agents – perhaps LeBron James and Chris Bosh or Joe Johnson – to max contracts.”
