Boston was reportedly the first team to contact the free agent forward. The Globe reports: “The Celtics have also reached out to Knicks free agent David Lee, according to Lee’s agent Mark Bartelstein. The Celtics’ need for a big man is obvious with Rasheed Wallace’s imminent retirement and Kendrick Perkins’s upcoming ACL surgery. Bartelstein told the Globe earlier in the day that the Celtics had contacted Bulls free agent Brad Miller. Lee already has several suitors. He will reportedly meet with Miami, Chicago, Minnesota and New Jersey in the next two days.”
