After getting hurt in a charity hoops game, Price went under the knife and is expected to spend the next 4-6 months off his feet. The Indy Star reports: “Indiana Pacers guard A.J. Price had successful surgery today on his fractured left kneecap at Indiana Orthopedic Hospital, the team said. He is expected to be out four to six months, the Pacers said in news release today. Price, who had an impressive rookie season, injured his knee in a charity basketball game at a high school in New York on Saturday. He said he was making a move to the basket when the injury happened. The Pacers were so impressed with Price last season that they felt confident enough that he could be their backup point guard.”
