The 7-8 LA Clippers look nothing like the championship-contenders they were pegged to be in the preseason, and Chris Paul says it’s time to right the ship.
Following the Clips’ 102-91 loss Wednesday night to the visiting Utah Jazz, Blake Griffin and Josh Smith each questioned the team’s resolve and toughness.
Paul says they way they’ve played so far—LAC has lost seven of its last ten ballgames—is unfair to the fanbase.
Per the OC Register:
“We have to be more resilient,” Griffin said. “Teams go on runs. We have to be able to withstand a run and not get down on ourselves.” […] “We need to fight through that barrier,” he said. “I feel like mentally, we’re not as mentally strong as we can be. I feel like sometimes when we’re up and a team’s coming up, there’s some strain on our end. We just need to be mentally strong – a swagger where we’re like ‘We’re still going to win this basketball game.’”
