D-Rose’s hip injury could end up keeping him out of the festivities this weekend: “X-rays were negative and Rose was taken to the hospital for an MRI at Rush University Medical Center. The Bulls seem reasonably sure there is no fracture and are hopeful Rose will be fine in a few days. He was wearing the padded compression shorts that are popular among NBA players these days. It’s too soon to tell if he’ll be able to participate in Skills Challenge and All-Star Game this weekend in Dallas. Rose is the first Bulls player chosen as an all-star in 12 years.”
