Dion Waiters Denies Sixers Rumors

Dion Waiters denied a recent report that the restricted free agent to-be is interested in a move to his hometown 76ers next summer.

Although Waiters and the Thunder failed to reach an extension before the November 2 deadline, GM Sam Presti has said that mutual interest still exists.

Waiters, on Sunday morning, tweeted, “I’m not worrying about money. I’m chasing a Championship with my bros.”

Following the Thunder’s recent win over the Philadelphia 76ers, a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer sited an unnamed source saying that Waiters has his eyes set on playing for his hometown team in the near future.

 

On Sunday morning, Waiters responded to the rumors on Twitter.

 

“(Don’t) Believe everything y’all hear lol I guess this what the world coming to (shaking my head), especially if it didn’t come from me,” Waiters tweeted. “I (don’t) need or want the attention I never been that guy…I’m not worrying about money I’m chasing a championship with my bros…#ThunderUP.”
