KG, of course, wants to play tomorrow night. But Doc says Friday is the likeliest return date for him: “It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t,’ [Garnett] just said when asked if he’d try to talk his way onto the floor tomorrow night. Rivers is still looking at Friday’s home game against Portland for a return, and he said even that is not set in stone. According to Rivers and Paul Pierce, Garnett looked very good while going through the full session today. Rivers explained that conditioning is the only issue. KG said his right knee (hyperextended in the Golden State game on Dec. 28) feels fine.”
