Shane Battier may be busy battling it out with the Heat in the NBA Playoffs, but that doesn’t mean he’s dropping the ball when it comes to philanthropy! The Heat forward has teamed up with leading online charity auction destination CharityBuzz to raise funds for a cause close to his heart, while giving fans a chance to spend the day with him on the golf course!
Battier is helping to provide resources for the development and education of underserved youth through his charity The Battier Take Charge Foundation, and auctioning off the opportunity for two fans to hit the links at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, on Friday, July 20, 2012. The winner and their guest will watch Battier’s round of golf as well as his post-round press conference, and then snap photos and hang with the Blue Devil alum at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. The pair will also score tickets to the tournament’s private party and concert featuring Maroon 5!
