Kobe Bryant to Help Fight Homelessness in Los Angeles

Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, are setting up a non-profit with the goal being to reduce the number of people living on LA’s streets. From the Times: “Bryant will hold a news conference Tuesday at My Friend’s Place, a nonprofit resource center that offers free emergency services to about 1,600 homeless people a year, according to its website. Bryant will explain the initiatives he has planned to reduce homelessness, create permanent housing and provide educational and career resources, which will include raising funds, improving services and working in conjunction with My Friend’s Place. Bryant’s philanthropic work has proven extensive, ranging from Make a Wish Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and Boys & Girls Club of America.”
