LeBron Needs Some Help

by Marcel Mutoni

This was supposed to be the best team that LeBron James has played on since entering the League; one that looked like it might even win the NBA championship this year. So far against the Orlando Magic, though, the Cavs appear well on their way towards an unwanted early vacation.

James has quite simply been a one-man show against the Magic, and his heroics to this point have produced but a single win, and it’s evident to all that he can’t beat Orlando by his lonesome.

Things could get ugly in Cleveland soon – and all summer long – if the LeBronnaires don’t step it up.

From NBC Sports:

This was before Sunday’s 99-89 emptiness, before LeBron James found himself at a loss to explain his team’s plight. “I’m only one guy,” James said when smiles still were prevalent in the Cavaliers’ locker room. “If I can clone myself, we’d be all right.”

If the Cavaliers win three of the next four, Cleveland and focal resident Danny Ferry can exhale. But if Van Gundy’s team plays the ultimate Magic trick on David Stern and ABC by killings Finals ratings, then 2009-10 becomes all or nothing for the Cavaliers. And we’re talking about a feeling far emptier than Sunday’s Cavaliers locker room.

So, there’s that.

Game 4 goes tomorrow night. And hey, Cavs, no pressure at all.
