Peter May reports: “Coach Doc Rivers said before Saturday’s practice at the Lakers’ training facility that Marquis Daniels may be able to play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday. Daniels sustained a concussion on May 26 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Orlando Magic. He missed the series clincher two days later and also sat out Game 1 of the Finals, when the foul-plagued Celtics could have used him… ‘We’re going to make him go through [practice] live, so that’s a big surprise for us,’ Rivers said. ‘That’s good for us. I thought he was out for the playoffs personally, so that’s a good thing. I can’t guarantee [he’ll be cleared for Game 2], but I think there’s a good chance.'”
