McGrady Pumped for Summer, Free Agency

Tracy McGrady has only played in six games this season. He hasn’t played more than eight minutes in any of those games. The former scoring champ hasn’t scored more than 10 points yet, either. And whether in spite of or because of the lack of playing time in Houston, Tracy McGrady, still only 30, can’t wait for the summer, for free agency.

As the Houston Chronicle reports: “I’m excited about becoming a free agent, very excited about that,” McGrady said. “It’s a time in my career it’s all about winning. Stats and all that stuff don’t really matter to me. I’m all about trying to get a chance to win a championship. My first option is definitely Houston over any team. Houston is where I want to be. My wife and kids love it there. It’s home for us. But you can’t ever rule out coming back [to Orlando].”

If Tracy does join his cousin (Vince) in Orlando, he also knows where he’d settle down. “If I was to come back, I was going to rent out (cousin Vince Carter’s) guest house,” McGrady said.
