Pendergraph Out For Year With Torn ACL

What is it with Blazer centers and knee devastating injuries? From the Oregonian: “Trail Blazers center Jeff Pendergraph has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will be out for the season, the second-year player said on his Twitter account today. Pendergraph injured his knee Thursday night in Utah with 10:48 left in the second quarter of an exhibition game against the Jazz. He was guarding center Kyrylo Fesenko, who drove left and scored on Pendergraph while being fouled. Pendergraph immediately crumpled to the court, holding his right knee with both hands. With Greg Oden and Joel Przybilla rehabilitating knee injuries from last season and not scheduled to return by the start of the season, Pendergraph was set to be the Blazers’ backup center.”
