Richard Hamilton Suspended One Game For Elbowing DeMar DeRozan

For tossing the elbow you can see in the video above, Rip Hamilton will miss today’s Bulls game against the Miami Heat. Via USA Today: “The NBA on Saturday suspended Chicago Bulls guard Richard Hamilton one game without pay for ‘throwing an elbow and making contact with the face of Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan.’ Hamilton will miss Sunday’s game against the Miami Heat. The incident occurred with 5:33 remaining in the third quarter of Toronto’s 97-88 victory Friday. Referees called Hamilton for a flagrant foul two, and he was ejected. It was Chicago’s second loss to Toronto in four days. The suspension hurts the Bulls, who are battling the Atlanta Hawks for the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta owns a half-game lead over Chicago with less than a week to play in the regular season. The Bulls have played one less game than the Hawks and own the tiebreaker.”
