Zach Randolph Calls Out ‘Awful’ Refs After Game vs Houston Rockets

by December 27, 2013

Memphis Grizzlies big man Zach Randolph tee’d off on the referees following a nationally-televised 100-92 loss in Houston on Thursday night. Z-Bo accused the refs of being too much on the Rockets’ side. Per the Commercial Appeal:

Houston attempted 40 free throws to 20 for Memphis. Rockets guard James Harden took a staggering 25 foul shots. “It’s obvious. It was the refs tonight,” Randolph said. “It was 8 on 5. In the second half, (Harden) was getting to the free throw line every time. We’re playing hard and they (the officials) were dictating the game. It can’t be like that. We’re out here playing too. It was a horrible game by the refs tonight. Awful.”

“It was horrible refereeing — a horrible game they reffed tonight,” Randolph continued. “Awful. They dictated the game. Plain, point simple. They dictated the game. We’re out here working as hard as them. Come on, man.”
