High School Frosh Commits To IU Hoosiers

by September 05, 2010

At least he’s in high school. Indystar.com reports: “James Blackmon Jr. dreamed of one day playing basketball for Indiana University. Now he knows he will. The Fort Wayne Luers freshman guard committed to Indiana University Thursday night. ‘It’s real exciting. I’m only a freshman,’ he said while riding home from IU’s season-opening football game where he told coach Tom Crean he would play for the Hoosiers. ‘What really sold it was the coach. He has a lot of confidence in me. I’m really excited. My college is already set.’ For the 6-2 combo guard, knowing he’s going to play for the Hoosiers fulfills a dream, even if he won’t suit up until the fall of 2014.”
