Amar’e Stoudemire’s Debut Blog

by December 18, 2008

This is real. Amar’e Stoudemire will be writing a blog for on a regular basis this season. He’ll do his best to respond to reader’s comments in the comments section (when he can) and address questions in future blog posts. So without any further ado, we give you STAT Blog 01…

Hey SLAM Readers,

I’m looking forward to writing my blog on SLAM. They’ve given me the opportunity to communicate directly with you guys through their website, so thanks SLAM!

Looking at our team’s stats, the offensive rebounding was down, so that’s where my emphasis has been. For the past couple games, I think my play has improved and speaks for itself. As a team, we are still adjusting to the new coaching staff, and we are trying to get better each and every day. I’ve been watching a lot of film of my future opponents and studying their tendencies, strengths, weaknesses, including their mental toughness, so that I can play my best when I match up with them. As I’m writing this, we just had a big trade happen, so I’ll be sure to write my thoughts on that in my next blog.

I met up briefly with TI in LA to talk about some business collaborations. It was really great to meet him, since I’m a big fan of his music. I also want to give props to my boy, Drumma Boy for being nominated for a Grammy!

Be sure to check out my blogs with SLAM on as I have some good stories to tell. I’m also excited about the All-Star game being in my town and all the events lined up! I’ll be relaunching a new website soon, so check it out at
