Dallas Likes Stevie Franchise

-For some reason, Dallas thinks Steve Francis would be a good fit for their team. Those Dallas basketball execs are wicked smart.

-Flip Saunders is confident he and Rasheed will get along just fine next season.

“The thing about Rasheed when he reacts, whether it’s at me or anybody else, it’s out of competitiveness. It’s not out of spite,” Saunders said.

“But one thing I have never done, I have never done anything to disrespect him. The main thing is, he has to be the same way toward his teammates and to me.”

“I don’t anticipate any problems going forward,” Saunders said. “It’s his competitiveness and wanting to win, and when things don’t go right for him, he has a tendency to blow up. I do think he stepped over the line, and it’s something we have talked about, and I am sure it’s something we will address again before training camp.”

(Flip is clearly a dreamer.)

-Does Yi Jianlian want to play in Sac Town?

TSF interviews SLAM Online columnist Etan Thomas. I hear he also plays basketball from time to time.

-Joey Crawford will be back next year. Personally, I can’t wait until his first Spurs game.

-The execs in Bristol must be absolutely loving this: Kevin Durant skipped a Summer League game to attend the ESPYs. I love his sense of priorities.
